Our story
We Know Your Dog's Name
Greta Engstrom ran the pet aisle of a big-box store for six years and never once learned a dog's name. In 2014 she opened Snug Pet Supply in a former bakery on Atwood Avenue, two blocks from the lake.
The old bakery case is still by the register. It holds the treat bar now. Leashed pets are welcome in every aisle, and every dog that comes through the door gets a biscuit from the jar.

What if my pet won't eat a new food?
Bring back the bag, opened, and we'll swap it for something else. Picky eaters are half our regulars.
Do I need to book the self-wash?
Not on weekdays, just walk in. On weekends, book ahead so a tub is waiting. The last wash starts an hour before we close.
Can I wash my cat in the tubs?
The tubs are built for dogs. Cats are welcome in the store, and we're happy to suggest a groomer who loves them.
Can my dog come shopping with me?
Please bring them. Leashed pets are welcome in every aisle, and every dog gets a biscuit from the jar.
Where do you deliver?
The east side and the isthmus, Tuesdays and Fridays. Free over $59, $6 under. Outside the area, curbside pickup works any day.
How do I order a birthday cake?
Call, text or ask at the counter at least 48 hours ahead. Tell us the name to pipe on top. Cakes are $16.
